Hello everyone,
We are the Shark Saviors, and we are here to let you know that sharks are very important to our eco-system. Sharks control two thirds of our planet. Over the past few decades shark fin soup has become more and more popular. Shark fins are money makers and can be sold for 200 dollars or more per fin. You want to know why they have this horrible dish? For the texture. An incredibly stupid reason to kill and endanger these animals. The shark has been here for 450 million years. If we don't stop what we're doing we'll cut that 450 million years short. It is one of the creatures we fear the most, but the ones we can't live without. If we put these animals into extinction then we're just asking for a catastrophe much worse than Global Warming. If the sharks go extinct that means catosrophe for our oceans. We take the shark for granted and the extinction of them will cause a massive chain effect. When the sharks are gone that means that the sea will become overpopulated with fish. Those fish means a shortage for the food that they eat. When those fish end up eating out their prey then that means a shortage of fish which will then kill off the fish because of a shortage of food. Noone really understands the importance of these animals and we must keep people informed. That can be a bad thing because if there are too many fish that means that the food that the fishes feed on will slowly become endangered due to over feeding on the sharks behalf. When I say the word sharks the sharks theme song pops into your head and you think of blood colored water. Sharks are exactly the opposite of that. These animales are completely mis-understood, and when you really think of it we're just setting up disaster for our planet. The only real reason that they attack is because we look like their type of meal. More people die from Elephant attacks, eating disorders, drugs, smoking, car accidents, homicides, suicides, and even candy machines than from shark attacks. Does that give you a reason to kill sharks? Alligators kill more people per year than sharks do in 100, and alligators are a protected species! The ocean is the home to many amazing creatures large and small. Nature created them for a reason, but people don't care or want to understand about them. Future generations won't be able to see these amazing animals and it will be our fault. And that is why we care.
Thank you! We really hope that you take into consideration about what you can do to help the Shark Saviors team.
