You're all probably wondering why all 4 of us have decided to make a group to help protect sharks. Selita, Uma, and Isabel all spent the summer of 2007 in Monterey, California. There they all researched about what they could do help save the ocean. There is a website for the Monterey Bay Aquirium and that was where we got started. We researched about all different sea animals and that's where we got interested in sharks. After the three months of summer we came back to our home town of Salt Lake City, Utah. That's when our friend Jori also got interested in how she could help save the sharks. She was the one that helped us put together all the pieces to our new group.
After those things just took off and things fell into place. Our friends Sam, Emma, and Victoria also joined our group. We now have regular meetings for our group and make outlines and plans for what we're going to do. If any of you are interested in supporting the Shark Saviors group or would like to tell others that would be greatly appreciated. We are also having a booth at Utah Hogle Zoo in the next month or so to hand out panphlets for our group and to help get supporters.
